Christmas Gift Guide: Dads

Welcome to the Forgiven Former Feminist Gift Guide. As I mentioned in the INTRO, I will be posting gift ideas for different people throughout the month of December. You can find my other gift guides here. Just so you know, all the links on this list are amazon affiliate links which means that if you purchase something from the links The Forgiven Former Feminist gets a small commission. Thank you for all of your support. With that being said, lets check out today's gift guide!

Do you have an awesome dad in your life? We here at The Forgiven Former Feminist are blessed to have one amazing guy that we call dad in our home. I LOVE to give gifts, it is one of the main ways that I express love to people. Early on in our marriage I would often try to buy Brian clothing... but I have since learned the error of my ways. Since he is 6'2 and 230 pounds clothing really has to be tried on ahead of time. That has forced me to get creative in my giving and I LOVE the challenge. Here are my top gifts for dads.

I don't know about your husband, but Brian LOVES coffee. I looked all through the coffee mug section and I have to say I was super disappointed. There are a LOT of really tacky mugs out there. Plus, when did it become cool to make dad seem like a loser? I did find this mug and I like the poem that is on it a lot. This man of wisdom mug is really nice and I like that it isn't super frilly. This mug is perfect for the guy who works long and crazy hours (hello military life!) and may need a little encouragement in the morning.

If the dad in your life loves to grill this gift set would be a perfect Christmas gift! If I go this route I will probably also get a basket or bin to organize all the supplies in, that way he doesn't have to worry about keeping track of all of the parts and pieces.

Brian is always checking things on my car, oil changes, tire rotation, and tire pressure never slip his notice when it comes to our van. I think this very well may wind up in his stocking this year!

Dressing in the professional world can be super boring. Brian doesn't have to do it often because he wears his uniform to work most days, but when he does having things that are fun adn that fit are super important. I like this belt gift set and I love the little box it comes in.  These classic, but fun, socks could be a neat way to spice things up. Or, if he is looking for something really out there I LOVE these super colorful socks and these science themed socks.

Because Brian has to travel so often for his job I like to have little devotionals available for him to pick to take with him on his trips. In years past I have given him devotionals geared towards military, athletes, and dads. This year, I really like this little one designed for men to spend one minute in prayer.

My husband is ALWAYS working with his hands. He is bathing our boys, taming the CRAZY San Diego foliage, or building something from scratch. This often means that his hands need a little TLC. We have learned that he doesn't like sharing my girly smelling soaps and lotions and in fact some of those really bother his eczema. We have learned that the Burt's Bees products are great for him and even our boys! This gift set would be a great way to sample a little of everything and see what your guy likes and doesn't like. Brian LOVES the hand salve and both he and William use the lip balm multiple times every day.

What do you think? Is there anything major that didn't make the list? If I left anything off please shoot me an email at theforgivenformerfeminist@gmail.com and let me know. You can also find me on facebooktwitter, and goodreads and I would LOVE to hear your thoughts!
