Today is National Housewife Day! This day is very special to me. I was given a very hard time by a lot of my friends and family when I chose to stay at home after I got married. I had friends tell me I am wasting my degree. I had family tell me that I had lost my spark. Today, I want to recognize all the women who decide to stay at home and serve their families from within the home.

Hi, Visiting you from Moms the Word link party. I didn't know there was a National Housewife Day! Thanks for the info...I've been a homemaker for over 30 years and I can tell you I wouldn't trade my job for anything. When I tell people I'm a homemaker some of them look at me like I'm crazy. But you know what? My husband's happy, my kids are happy, I'm happy and I feel blessed to be doing what I love. As long as I'm doing what I feel the Lord is leading me to do I don't fret about what people think. God bless you in your choice to be a keeper of the home.
