Military Monday: The Alphabet

Welcome to another Military Monday.  Upon marrying a military man I learned that there is a LOT to know about life as a military spouse. Mondays are my day to talk about the things I am learning, the new language, military news and current events. Ready? Lets jump in. 

Today I am going to write out the military alphabet. Since I was corrected on it recently I thought I would share it.

Yes, it is different from our normal alphabet.

And yes, there are military guys out there who will correct you for not using it.

A: Alpha
B: Bravo
C: Charlie
D: Delta
E: Echo
F: Foxtrot
G: Golf
H: Hotel
I: India
J: Juliette
K: Kilo
L: Lima
M: Mike
N: November
O: Oscar
P: Papa
Q: Quebec
R: Romeo
S: Sierra
T: Tango
U: Uniform
V: Victor
W: Whiskey
X: X-ray
Y: Yankee
Z: Zulu

Can I just say, as a Texan, I love that Yankee is the Y!
