The Forgiven Former Feminist's Female Christian Role Model of the Day is... Sanya Richards-Ross!

Sanya Richards-Ross is an Olympic Gold Medalist. She secured the gold at the 2012 London Olympics. Born in Jamaica, Richard-Ross moved to Florida with her family when she was a child. She then accepted Christ as her savior. Richards-Ross has been outspoken about her Christian faith. Sanya participates in the USA Track and Field Win with Integrity Program, where she gives speeches to schoolchildren about hard work, healthy choices, and being drug-free. She also started the Sayna Richards Fast Track Program which combines educational opportunities with promoting healthy living choices.
So why is Sanya Richards-Ross on my list? She has made it a point to speak out about her Christian faith. She is in the very unique position of being a superstar athlete and being able to use the sports platform to help reach people that might not otherwise hear about Christ's love.
