Modest Maternity: 4th of July

Good Morning! Today is such an exciting day, we are beginning our series on modesty maternity style. You can read more about my reasons for wanting to write about how to have a modest (yet stylish!) maternity wardrobe here. As I mentioned previously I will be featuring one item of clothing a week. I will show you four ways to style the featured piece of the week. I will try my best to tell you where it came from (including a link if possible!) as well as how much I paid for it.

Since this is the first week and it is the almost the Fourth of July I will be featuring two different articles of clothes. We have a lot of ground to cover so lets get started!

Today's first featured article of clothing is my brand new red maxi skirt. I got mine here for 14.95.
I love this skirt because it flows beautifully away from the body. The fabric is SO incredibly soft, it kind of makes me think of butter. Since it is almost the Fourth of July I paired this awesome skirt with four different "blue" tops. I chose not to do white because I am having issues with my ever expanding belly and knocking things over. I don't want to stain another shirt.

Navy Blue and White Striped Shirt: Faded Glory (Walmart) Purchased from a thrift store for $1.00

Today's second featured article of clothing is a blue maxi skirt that I got at the thrift store for $1.00. Although I really like it, it is no longer featured on Target's website, and it is a Target brand. Instead I would buy the blue version of the red skirt I mentioned above. The blue version of that awesome skirt is available here for $17.54. Again, I love this skirt because of the feel. It fits a pregnant body REALLY well. Again with the Fourth of July this week I paired this awesome skirt with four different "red" tops.
