Title Tuesday: My Summer Reading List

Welcome to  Title Tuesday, my favorite day of the week! This day is dedicated to book suggestions and reviews. I write this portion of my blog because I am a big believer in the motivational speaker Charlie Jones' quote which says, "You will be the same person in five years as you are today except for the people you meet and the books you read.” I try to meet as many new people as possible and to read everything I can. This is my way of sharing that information with you. With that being said, let us jump in and get started.

I thought today I would share the list of books that I plan to read this summer. These are books that I will be reviewing for fun later this summer on Title Tuesday. I like to post these things for a couple of reasons.

  1. It lets other people see what I am reading and therefore it holds me accountable.
  2. My list could be interesting to someone else and they might want to read one of the books available.
  3. I can't always just review books for companies. Sometimes it is nice to read just for fun.

So, here are the books I am reading this summer. They mostly focus on parenting, since we are entering that season of life. If you are interested in purchasing these books just click on the title and it will take you to that book's Amazon.com page:

America: The Last Best Hope Volume I  by William J. Bennett
America: The Last Best Hope Volume II by William J. Bennett
The Broken Hearth by William J. Bennett
Bringing Up Boys by Dr. James Dobson
What's A Man? 3000 Years of Wisdom on the Art of Manly Virtue by Waller R. Newell
Creative Correction by Lisa Welchel

I realized after I made this selection of books that it could potentially look like we found out we are having a boy in November. In fact, we have not found out yet. We should find out tomorrow!!!!!! But, we figure at some point we will probably have a boy and it never hurts to get a head start.

I would love to know what you are reading this summer or if you have any suggestions, especially parenting books!

  1. One of my favorite parenting books is Parenting with Love and Logic.

Right now I'm reading Anne of Green Gables, and I have Bash and the Chicken Coop Caper to read for a review.

  3. Hi Morgan, nice to meet you, first time to your blog. The only reading I do and thats everyday, I read about blogging, ways to improve and blog post as I visit blogs, they cheer me up and I learn a ton, and I also research on the internet for all sorts of things. I have not read a book for 2 years, since I got serious about blogging.

Thank you for stopping by Oh My Heartsie, hope to see you again. Enjoy your evening!!
