Last week I encouraged you to find a mentor via the link-ups listed above. Today I want to talk about the fact that there are other ways to gain wisdom and to learn besides finding a physical mentor. If you are lucky enough to have a mentor nearby or online that is able to provide wise counsel that is wonderful! If not I have another suggestion for you.
How about books?
I have found a great deal of wisdom and have learned a lot of lessons from other people's thoughts written down in their books. So then that begs the question, how do you know where to find good books? How do you know if a book fits your Christian standard? I have a link up top called Books to Read. This page shows a list of books I have personally read and I highly recommend them! I also have a link up top to my Amazon Associates bookstore this is where I have a link to all the books I have bought on amazon.com, it also shows the books that are on my wishlist as well. I like doing this because I don't always get to my book reviews quickly, so this way people can see what books are coming up next on Title Tuesday.
Using books as a resource to gain knowledge is a wonderful privallege that I think many Christians take for granted. So let me ask you, what are you reading right now? What are you learning? I would love some suggestions for new books to read!
