Title Tuesday: Is Your Daddy a Pirate?

Welcome to  Title Tuesday, my favorite day of the week! This day is dedicated to book suggestions and reviews. I write this portion of my blog because I am a big believer in the motivational speaker Charlie Jones' quote which says, "You will be the same person in five years as you are today except for the people you meet and the books you read.” I try to meet as many new people as possible and to read everything I can. This is my way of sharing that information with you. If you are interested in understanding my rating system for books you can read my Book Review Explanation here and What I Believe here. If you want to check out what I am currently reading or what I want to read next, friend me on Goodreads! With all that being said, lets jump in!

Oh my goodness. I can't even begin to describe how much I love today's book. I signed up to review it without really reading the description.

It fit in to my top categories: Christian, Military, and Children so I signed up.

Nothing, absolutely nothing could prepare me for how much I would love Is Your Dad a Pirate by Tara McClary Reeves.

I got 6 pages in and I was already bawling. (For those of you that aren't southern, that means I was SEVERELY ugly crying.) By the time I go to the end of the book I was full on sobbing, in the best way possible and let me tell you, you will be too.

Is Your Dad a Pirate does an excellent job of combining patriotism, faith, and family strength to get through adverse times. Reeves does an excellent job of reminding the reader that when one in the family is injured it impacts the entire family. I don't want to spoil the book for you (so I won't) but she does a phenomenal job of acknowledging the sacrifices that military spouses make when a service member comes home with war wounds.

I wish I had a higher rating than A+. If I did this book would get it and one more because it is just that awesome. I think this book should be on the self of every library in military towns and the on post libraries. I think that this book should be available to every child whose dad (or mom!) comes home injured after sacrificing so much for our freedom.
(Have tissues ready for all the moms, just in case!)

Well done Tara McClary Reeves!

I received this book for free from Icon Media Group in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.
All opinions and thoughts are my own.
