Title Tuesday: Know the Word Study Bible

Welcome to  Title Tuesday, my favorite day of the week! This day is dedicated to book suggestions and reviews. I write this portion of my blog because I am a big believer in the motivational speaker Charlie Jones' quote which says, "You will be the same person in five years as you are today except for the people you meet and the books you read.” I try to meet as many new people as possible and to read everything I can. This is my way of sharing that information with you. If you are interested in understanding my rating system for books you can read my Book Review Explanation here and What I Believe here. If you want to check out what I am currently reading or what I want to read next, friend me on Goodreads! With all that being said, lets jump in!

Today I am super excited to share with you about what just might be my new favorite Bible. The Know the Word Study Bible from Thomas Nelson was SO MUCH FUN to get to review. I know that sounds super nerdy, but I just love reading the Bible and texts that help me understand it better. This Bible has both in one book!

The Know the Word Study Bible offers a way to study the Bible three different ways:

  • book by book- notes that help you understand each book independently
  • topic by topic- 21 phrases that often create division among Christians and where to find those topics in the Bible
  • verse by verse- notes that really help clarify what is being said in the text

Aside from the nerdy side of me that loves new books, I also trust this text a great deal because it is from Tomas Nelson (Now a part of HarperCollins Christian Publishing) which has been in operation since 1798, and is one of the oldest Bible publishers in the world!

With all of that being said, I would recommend this book for a relatively new believer that is looking for a deeper understanding of the Word of God. This text might also be useful for anyone that is involved in ministries or discipleship where basic theological questions are frequently brought up (things like is the Trinity scriptural or man-made?) The Know the Word Study Bible would be a great tool to have available for homeschooling as well. Overall I give it an A+ and I strongly recommend it if you are looking to get a new study Bible!

I was given a free copy of this book in exchange for my unbiased review.
All thoughts and opinions are my own.
