The Know the Word Study Bible offers a way to study the Bible three different ways:
- book by book- notes that help you understand each book independently
- topic by topic- 21 phrases that often create division among Christians and where to find those topics in the Bible
- verse by verse- notes that really help clarify what is being said in the text
Aside from the nerdy side of me that loves new books, I also trust this text a great deal because it is from Tomas Nelson (Now a part of HarperCollins Christian Publishing) which has been in operation since 1798, and is one of the oldest Bible publishers in the world!
With all of that being said, I would recommend this book for a relatively new believer that is looking for a deeper understanding of the Word of God. This text might also be useful for anyone that is involved in ministries or discipleship where basic theological questions are frequently brought up (things like is the Trinity scriptural or man-made?) The Know the Word Study Bible would be a great tool to have available for homeschooling as well. Overall I give it an A+ and I strongly recommend it if you are looking to get a new study Bible!
