Title Tuesday: A Heart So Fierce and Broken

Welcome to  Title Tuesday, my favorite day of the week! This day is dedicated to book suggestions, news, cartoons, and reviews. Let's jump in!

Book 2 of the #cursebreakerseries did NOT disappoint!

Check out my review of book 1 here.

I LOVED this book.

I finished it in just two days which is a huge deal when you have four kids under six.

I sacrificed serious sleep for this book.

I adore Commander Grey and his commitment to doing what is right and honorable. His character just explodes off the page. He is so noble and dedicated to integrity. It is phenomenal to see a character written in a way that upholds masculinity and honor.

Lia Mara is... complicated. At parts I really disliked her character. I couldn't believe her opening scenes! It was hard to take. However, In the end she redeemed herself.

Again, I don’t want to give anything away but I didn’t like Rhen in book one and I REALLLLLY disliked him I’m this book too. So his character arc just isn't working for me.

I am loving the depth of development for Harper’s brother Jacob as well. I do wish we heard more from Noah. I feel like that would be helpful in understanding the workings of the kingdom and their world to hear more from the periphery characters in the book. As it stands the world that they inhabit is really unclear and kind of murky which makes following the story a little difficult.

So overall I liked this book more than the first one.

A solid 5 star book, one that I would enjoy reading as a stand alone even if it wasn't in this series!
